The tube flexible housing

dutch company tube4all has created 'the tube', a temporary cylindrical housing unit which provides a domestic environment in a variety of outdoor settings. the tubular structure can be used as a cabin in parks or a lodge remote locations where temporary living and sleeping facilities are required. it protects against wind, rain, heat and cold across the seasons and comes equipped with a heater. An adjustable table lowers to bench height to create a surface onto with the backrests are placed, creating a 2-3 person mattress. 

The flexible furniture system also includes storage under the seats. for lighting, 2 LED bulbs are integrated into the ceiling as a running light, connected to a central junction box and separate circuit breaker. also built-in are two sockets for electronic equipment. for the door and window frames a durable wood is utilized which is safe for both indoor and outdoor applications. The outside of the cylindrical tube is made from a single piece of polyurethane creating a structure without seams or cracks. Both the interior and exterior are waterproofed in order to prevent water damage. the portable residence is 3 meters (10 feet) long and 2.2 (7 feet) meters in diameter. All together, the structure weighs 450 kg (990 pounds), making it easily transportable.
